Etsy: International Women's Day
I was briefed by the PR team to create an asset for Etsy’s social media accounts that features “gender-corrected terms.” Additionally, they wanted me to create a tie-in asset for our sellers to share through their own social media accounts. They wanted the asset to drive excitement and exploration of our site, especially toward things made by women. Due to a quick turnaround, I quickly mocked up a gif that would represent a still/animation.
They loved the gif so I storyboarded an animation and worked with our in-house animator to bring it to life.
We also created a tie-in asset that sellers could share via Etsy's Social Sharing Tool to their social media channels. They were tweaked for international audiences.
The coolest part of this project was seeing Etsy Sellers use it to take over Instagram on International Women's Day.
